How a Loop School Works
Loop Schools makes the high-stakes process of setting up a quality micro-school in your community easy. We work with interested families to create and structure their own Loops, or help place interested families in Loops ready to form. We guide them, step-by-step, through the process of setting goals and structuring their Loops. Your Loop is a custom solution designed to meet your families’ needs.

1.
Form a Loop.
Interested families form a learning pod or “Loop” in their community. Each Loop is a small group of similarly-aged children with complementary learning styles and needs. Your Loop can be made up of friends from school or your neighborhood, or simply others who share your perspective on education. If you don’t have a group in mind, Loop Schools will help in finding one that fits.
Your children will stay enrolled in their existing public, private, charter, or home school and follow their prescribed curriculum, but they’ll do so in a small, physically-present group. Joining a Loop School minimizes health risks while providing a true educational experience. Loop Schools will provide the guidance you need to maximize the academic and social-emotional growth of your children.

Structure your Loop.
Loop Schools will provide tools for establishing protocols and procedures to make it easy for families to share the responsibility of schooling at home in a safe and supportive learning environment. We help families answer the difficult questions. What if a student gets sick? How will families be expected to act when away from their Loop? How should the financial burden be distributed? What happens if schools reopen for on-site classes? Loop Schools will make sure everyone is on the same page.

Hire a Facilitator.
Our Loop Schools team will help your Loop hire an educator to facilitate day-to-day schooling in your own, home-based schoolhouse. While your students will remain enrolled in their public/private/charter or home school, your facilitator will provide constant support, guidance, and supervision to ensure the academic progress of each child. Loop School facilitators can range from credentialed teachers to college students with a passion for teaching. We will help you find the right educator for your needs and budget. From evaluating candidates, assisting with background screening, setting hours and expectations, to agreeing on pay, Loop Schools will make this difficult process a piece of cake.
4.
Set your Facilitator up for success.
With our decades of experience training and managing educators, Loop Schools will set your Loop on a path to success by providing training, mentorship, and support for your Loop facilitator. Loop School facilitators will meet weekly with our team to monitor progress, share ideas, and work through challenges. Our ongoing professional development for the Loop School facilitators will ensure your facilitator is able to consistently provide the highest quality education for those in their care. Loop Schools will work directly with families in your Loop to provide evaluation and feedback to your facilitator in a constructive, healthy environment. And in the rare case your facilitator isn’t a great fit, Loop Schools will help you make a switch without interrupting your children’s experience.
